Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Grocery Brain when you use the app. We've kept them short and plain. By creating an account, you accept them.
What Grocery Brain is
Grocery Brain is a free app, in early testing, that plans meals, writes shopping lists and keeps track of your pantry. It's run by Tony Hadjandonis, in Athens, Greece. Features can change while we work on it.
Your account
You need to be 15 or older. Use an email address that's yours and that you can access, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
Allergies and health: please read
Grocery Brain leaves out recipes whose listed ingredients match the allergies and foods you tell it about. It can't know what's in the products you buy: brands differ, a recipe can miss something, and products can contain traces of allergens. Always read the labels of what you buy, and check each recipe yourself.
Grocery Brain doesn't give medical or nutrition advice. If you have a food allergy or a health condition, follow the medical advice you've been given. Nutrition values in the app are estimates.
Costs are estimates
The costs shown are estimates based on each recipe. Real prices vary between shops and over time, so what you pay can be different.
Using the app fairly
Don't misuse Grocery Brain: don't try to break or overload it, get into other people's accounts, copy the recipes in bulk, or use it for anything illegal. The recipes and other content in the app are for your personal use.
Free, for now
Grocery Brain is free. If we ever add paid features, we'll tell you first, and you'll never be charged without agreeing to it.
If something goes wrong
We work to keep Grocery Brain accurate and available, but we provide it "as is", without a guarantee that it will always work or be free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by relying on the app instead of reading labels or following medical advice. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using Grocery Brain and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut Grocery Brain down, we'll let you know at least 30 days before.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and let you know about important changes before they apply. If you keep using Grocery Brain after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree with them, you can delete your account.
Law
These terms are governed by Greek law, and the courts of Athens deal with any dispute. If you live in the EU and use the app for yourself, you keep the protection of your own country's laws and can also go to your local courts.
